Retreat Essentials: Understanding the Process

Booking Your Retreat: Process, Preparations, and Expectations

We ensure every step of your experience is in compliance with Oregon State law, focusing on safety and legality. Here, you’ll find detailed information about what to expect, how to prepare, and the legal framework that supports your journey with us.

Initial Connection with a Licensed Facilitator

Your first step is to establish a connection with an independently contracted licensed facilitator. See some of the facilitators we work with below. The off-site Preparation session includes a comprehensive client intake process, ensuring informed consent, a thorough review of your rights as a client, and detailed safety and support planning. Your facilitator will guide this essential preparatory conversation to set the stage for a transformative experience, as mandated by state regulations for all our guests.

Personalized Preparation Session

During the off-site Preparation session with your facilitator, you will delve into what you can anticipate during your retreat, from the activities to the inner work you may encounter. This session is tailored to your needs, covering all logistics and any requirements to ensure you are fully prepared for the next phase at Fernlove.

Booking Your On-Site Retreat

Armed with insights and guidance from your Preparation session, you will proceed to book your retreat at Fernlove’s secure on-site location. Here, our retreat packages are designed to cater to your transformative journey, which you can choose and finalize with ease and confidence through our platform.

Engaging in the On-Site Experience

Once you’ve settled in, you’ll participate in the on-site Administration session. This is the exclusive occasion where you can purchase and consume psilocybin products, which are rigorously cultivated, processed by licensed manufacturers, and tested by licensed laboratories. Consumption occurs in our designated administration area within our licensed service center to ensure your safety, as taking psilocybin products off-site is not permitted. The facilitator you’ve chosen to work with will be by your side the entire duration of your psilocybin journey.

Integration and Reflection

After the Administration session, Fernlove encourages participation in on-site Integration sessions. These are invaluable opportunities for you to process and reflect on your psilocybin experience, supported by licensed facilitators. The Integration process may include discussions with your group mates, writing exercises, and walks in the forest to assist in assimilating your experiences into your daily life.

Departure and Ongoing Engagement

As your retreat concludes, you will not only receive guidance on integrating your experience but also become a valued member of the Fernlove community. You’ll have access to ongoing resources, peer support, and exclusive offers that support your journey even after you leave our service center.

Georgiana (aka Dr. G or George)

Dr. G is a holistic doctor, mama, coach, educator, mystic, dreamer, life enthusiast, and nature lover—and she has a pretty good sense of humor to boot! Her personal relationship with psilocybin began over 30 years ago, when she was facing deep suffering. She believes that psilocybin saved her life, sparking a transformative healing experience that catalyzed her entire life’s work.

Georgiana is passionate about the healing power of nature and believes in the body and mind’s innate ability to heal. She has facilitated plant medicine groups in Mexico and now supports individuals and groups in Oregon. She co-led both the first legal Moms’ group and the first legal Doctors’ group in the country.

A lover of botanical medicines, Georgiana is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Western States, where she teaches herbs and medicinal mushrooms to doctorate-level students.

Dr. G doesn’t come with an agenda—she understands that everyone has their own unique set of life experiences, circumstances, and beliefs. Rather than a cookie-cutter approach, she offers individualized support, taking extra time and showing up in full presence.

She lives by the principle of walking her walk, continuously diving into her own healing to better serve her clients. This commitment is foundational for a psychedelic facilitator. Her clients describe her as a rare blend of a playful spirit and one who holds deep reverence for healing work. Above all, Dr. G is a dedicated, loving, compassionate human being—always on her own path of healing, growth, and discovery, and a forever student of life.

Erin Baldwin Draper, MSW

Erin Baldwin Draper, MSW, is a trauma-informed social worker, musician, mystic, mom, and state-licensed psilocybin facilitator. Erin comes to this work with a deep reverence for nature and the sacred wisdom of plants, a natural curiosity for the mystical, and a safety-first scientific mind. With a background in counseling, group facilitation, research, and trauma-informed care, she brings practical therapeutic tools into her work while also holding space for the ineffable.

Erin began her career as a child and family therapist and medical social worker. After a traumatic birth experience with her first child, Erin found that the traditional healthcare system failed to adequately address her trauma and she turned to psychedelics. Her first psychedelic experience helped Erin reconnect back to herself after motherhood and catalyzed a passion for supporting others through plant medicine.

Erin considers herself a PsycheDoula in this field, supporting the rebirth of the mind, body, and spirit. She loves supporting folks new to psychedelics, especially those going through big life transitions. She believes motherhood can be one of the biggest life transitions of all and yet moms are often last to care for themselves. Erin continues to support moms outside of plant medicine work as a new moms’ support group facilitator and also loves working with parents of children with special healthcare needs.

Erin strives to create a judgment-free, expression-positive container for inner work. She welcomes folks from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds and lifestyles, and she is LGBTQ+ affirming.

Tony Betz

My name is Tony Betz, and I am a licensed facilitator. My journey with psilocybin has been a deeply personal and transformative one. It helped me break free from the clutches of depression and anxiety, opening the door to a life filled with more meaning and purpose. Every day, I’m driven by a profound sense of gratitude and a strong desire to give back. As a father to two wonderful boys and a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for kids in the foster care system, I’m constantly reminded of the impact we can have on the lives of others. I strive to live with an open mind and heart, always fascinated by the myriad ways we understand and interpret the mysteries that surround us.
